The staff of light is a power level 4 masterwork staff that can be crafted at a mystic forge. The recipe can be obtained by completing the quest Высветить проблему. It can be ascended at the mystic forge using ascension cores.

Its special effect is a higher rune damage modifier than most other staves at the same power level.

It's only lower than the necromancer's staff by 0.1. At power level 7, this equates to only a 0 - 4 damage difference between the two depending on the rune type, hit of the combo, whether it crits, and whether a magic focus is used. This will only make a difference if that damage hits a breakpoint on certain enemies (i.e. if it takes one less hit with the necromancer's staff to defeat an enemy than with this weapon). The necromancer's staff also has 20% lower durability with only 1050. Although managing durability with Магическая починка is trivial, it could make a difference in, say, the 30 waves of the fight caves.

In the Third Age, before someone could wield a Staff of light, it would first need to be blessed by three people.

A priest would bless it first, instilling the weapon with Сарадомин's wisdom. A monk would bless it second, imbuing the staff with the humility of Saradomin. Finally, an icyene general would give their blessing, dedicating the weapon to Saradomin's righteousness.

Those battlemages chosen to wield such a sacred weapon would dive into battle against Заморак's forces, and believed themselves invulnerable.

They were often proved wrong.

Yet, those who carried the staff into battle seemed to survive longer than their compatriots. The defensive magic of the staff kept them alive longer than others. A demon once stole a staff and tried to use that power for himself. Still, when he tried to channel demonic power through the staff, it is said that the explosion could be seen from across the battlefield.

Интересные факты

• There was an unused status effect in the cache where the player would receive a 33% melee resistance for six seconds whilst wielding the staff, but it is not currently active in the game.
