Валерий is a Zamorakian mage part of the Black Knight's Fortress quest.

He will tell the player that there is a glass owl located south-east of Большой зал. To find this, the player turns around and heads back up the spiral stairs with fire, leaves west out of the building, and crosses the bridge towards the blue dragon. They defeat the dragon and continue west through the stone arch. They dig with a steel spade in front of the golden glowing imp statue. Alternatively, players can head north-east from Зверинец's nodestone along the path. They turn around at the stone arch and dig in front of the imp statue.

Lore

Abraxus describes Valerius as a wizard of great power who kept his attention on his books rather than on the world. Valerius wrote to Abraxus during his years at the keep in Dowdun Reach, and Abraxus kept the letters among the books of his own library before they were stolen. He addresses Abraxus as his dearest and complains of the company he keeps at the keep. Another letter is a poem in praise of Abraxus' eyes, wit, and smile. A third sets his anger with Abraxus alongside a wish to hold him. One of those books holds a letter Abraxus wrote to Valerius and never sent. Valerius speaks of voices in his head stealing his memories, and to keep one memory safe he sealed it inside a glass owl. The owl was wrapped in red cloth and buried in the garden where the keep once housed its creatures. A dragon has since claimed that garden and guards the ground the owl lies beneath, unaware of what it protects. By the time the player reaches Dowdun Reach, Valerius has lost his name. Abraxus remains nearby in the hopes of being remembered. Once the owl is returned to him, Valerius recognises the memory sealed within it as one of Abraxus. He pays the player with a shard of the Dreaming Stone and warns that it whispers in the dark.
