A leather shield consists of a thick piece of leather stretched across a wooden frame. Wooden shields are bulky and heavy, making them more unwieldy. In contrast, a Leather Shield’s relative lightness makes it much easier to move into position.

Leather shields were popular with the villagers of Брэмблмид, since the materials were comparatively easy to gather. Young warriors often wielded them as they accompanied druids into the woods, where the druids gathered herbs for their medicines and rituals.
