The anti-dragon shield is a power level 3 masterwork shield that can be crafted at a blacksmith's bench after obtaining the recipe from Вертентис-Кара, the dragonkin vault in the Шепчущее болото. It is also one of the rewards for completing the Убийца драконов quest, and is used as a material to craft the dragonblight shield, dragoncurse shield and the dragonfire shield. It can be ascended at the mystic forge using ascension cores.

Its special effect allows the user to block incoming dragon fire without being staggered. This includes the sweeping breath attack that all dragons perform, as well as the poison spit from green dragons, the spinning fire from Имару, the lightning ball from blue dragons, and the fireball from red dragons and Фузан. This does not include any ground-based effects like Велгар's poison breath/barrage and earth spikes, Имару's wither projectiles and spikes, and Фузан's lava floor. Notably, despite not being listed, this special effect is also present on the dragonblight shield and dragoncurse shield but not on the dragonfire shield.

All of that being said, Щит бури will block all incoming damage (excluding any ground-based attacks), including the projectiles and spikes that weren't blockable even with the special effect, and that is available even with two-handed weapons. Otherwise, all vestige and masterwork shields can be ascended to the highest power level and will have the same block value, with the exception of the fallen hoplite's aspis which has 3 more and the toktz-ket-xil which has 6 less. Therefore, the optimal shield choice will come down to their special effects, and this shield may often be chosen as it can block dragonfire but will not interfere with staggers caused by parries, unlike the other dragon shields.

It is uncertain who first crafted the Anti-dragonfire shield. The dwarves claim the honour, as do several human blacksmiths. The goblins tried to take the credit, but their smithing techniques were not nearly refined enough to be believed. The aviansie might have been capable of such a feat, but if they did craft the shield, they never said.

The aviansie that did visit Эшенфолл only stayed in Бринмор for a short time. They disappeared deeper into the continent, never to be heard from again.

The Anti-dragonfire shield is a formidable defence, surpassing the strength of iron, and capable of withstanding a dragon's lethal breath. Its previous owner, hopeful it could be a weapon against Велгар, was proven wrong.

Only the most powerful individuals can hope to wield such an object. Yet, even so, it is said that the shield can be improved by combining it with the essence of a dragon, gaining it some of the fury of the legendary beast.

• Even though the game's lore journal states it "surpasses the strength of iron", it only has a rating of 39 block. This is identical to a bronze shield, whereas an iron shield has 46 block.
• Since it's release, the shield is the only item, aside from quest items and ammunitions, that does not drop into the gravestone when a player dies, it instead stays in the inventory.
• The shield's appearance is a mix of Old School RuneScape and its own design. It keeps the same colour and sword-shaped symbol in the front with the three dragon claws, which is consistent with the RuneScape version. The main difference lies in the shape of the shield, while Old School RuneScape’s version features a more squared design, RuneScape’s version is an elongated hexagonal or heater-shaped shield, giving it a more vertical look.
